Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome, I hope that our website gives you a flavour of what our school can offer your child.

We are a successful, welcoming and friendly school in the heart of rural Lincolnshire in close proximity to the Humber Estuary. Our school was judged as 'Outstanding' in January 2012 and September 2018. Our school has enthusiastic children that are confident and well behaved. At Alkborough Primary School we believe that every child really does matter and we ensure that the children enjoy learning in a safe, happy, caring and stimulating environment.

We provide an interesting, differentiated and challenging curriculum to develop children’s confidence and determination to achieve the highest of standards in all aspects of their work and we celebrate success and achievement at all levels.

Our small class sizes offer excellent pupil to teacher ratios and enable us to offer more personalised learning.

We have an experienced team of teaching and non-teaching staff who work hard in partnership with our children, parents and governors. It is our aim to work together to develop lively, enquiring and imaginative learners. We acknowledge that parents play a key role in their child’s learning and we encourage positive and supportive communication to this effect.

We have a strong and committed Governing Body who play a key role in monitoring and in school development.

Our PTA (The Friends of Alkborough School) are a dedicated team of parents who organise a range of fundraising events throughout the year. Their hard work and support has funded the purchase of a range of resources that have benefited our pupils.

As a prospective parent, you may be interested in coming to have a look around our school, to see for yourself what we have to offer. Visits are welcome, please contact the school to make an appointment.
